what is walk & Talk therapy?
if you’re like most people, you spend your most of your day sitting. sitting in your car…sitting at your desk…and the idea of sitting for one more hour, in a close space, really doesn’t sound appealing.
Walk and Talk therapy allows us to move out of the office and puts you on the path to healing, literally and figuratively. Together we walk and talk about the issues that led you to therapy.
When you think about it, this is something we frequently do when we are struggling with some internal conflict. We pace around our room. We take a walk to calm down. We take a walk to think more clearly.
Many clients like the relaxed and freeing environment that the movement from walk and talk therapy provides. Many more clients feel a renewed energy during and following these sessions. Other clients have shared that walking and talking produces a very thoughtful and reflective experience for them.
Walk and Talk therapy sessions are the same as doing therapy in an office, in-home therapy, or online therapy except we are outside enjoying it’s beauty, as well as, the added benefits of getting in some physical fitness. Many clients who have felt stuck by the restraints of traditional therapy can find new ways to deal with their issues and heal through walk and talk therapy.
Walk and Talk therapy is often a popular choice for people who don’t want to be behind a computer screen for online therapy nor do they want me in their home.
The way Walk and Talk therapy works is that we will agree upon a public location such as a park, and just walk and talk like two friends. People often worry that people will know they are in therapy if they are seen walking with me. However, this is not the case. I will be in regular clothing that will make Walk and Talk therapy comfortable for myself, and I expect the same of you. Unless you say something, no one will ever know.

childcare not needed
Moms bring the baby and stroller. Still get the self-care you need without the stress or worry about leaving your baby with a babysitter.
reduce depression and anxiety
Research has shown that the best course of therapy for depression and anxiety is physical movement and cognitive behavioral therapy. Walk and talk therapy gives us both.
Therapy animals have proven to be helpful for some in reducing anxiety and increasing comfort in clients. If having your beloved pet with you is needed, walk and talk therapy is for you.
You want to take care of you, but your day is full. We can meet for your lunch break or near your office. Walk and talk therapy, we can meet wherever it takes to work with you and your busy work schedule.
